Our National Parks journey

Greetings, friends! We are just finishing our journey through the national parks (Glacier, Yellowstone, and Grand Teton) with American Cruise Lines. It was FANTASTIC! Other than a bit of rain in Yellowstone, we had sublime weather. The days were full, but wonderfully organized, and we saw so many iconic sites such as Old Faithful, Mammoth Hot Springs, the Grand Canyon of Yellowstone, the Grand Tetons, and so much more! We saw bison, elk, deer, bald eagles, coyotes, and a black bear walking along the shoreline across a river from our viewpoint! The geological features of the region from geysers to waterfalls to mountains were astounding. While we had been to these national parks before, there's nothing like letting someone else do the driving and planning. With the luxury motorcoach, nice hotels, coordinated meals, well-researched excursions, and wonderful ACL guides, we felt very spoiled indeed! We will be sharing many more stories, photos, and videos from our parks adventure in the coming days on our Member Supporter Patreon website. It might be a great time for a Free Trial of the content we curated and behind the scenes insights we share. To explore samples, Click Here.

The sites of Yellowstone are especially amazing because of the fascinating stories of the region's history. During some of the motorcoach rides from one amazing site to another, we shared our Yellowstone History Highlights video presentation series with the guests. These are brief (roughly less than 10-minutes each) video presentations that share different aspects of the history of the very first National Park. So, we are offering the entire 10-part series to all of you, on sale this weekend for only $17! (That's a 32% discount!)

Margerie Glacier in Glacier Bay. We continue to savor our September in Alaska. We've enjoyed an array of weather, but still some nice days to sit out on the deck and revel in the amazing scenery and wildlife. We watched two enormous pieces of ice calve off of the face of the beautiful Margerie Glacier in Glacier Bay. They were each about 15 stories tall. Wowza! Did you know Glacier Bay is 3.3 million acres and includes more than 1,000 glaciers? Only seven of those are tidewater glaciers like...

We are savoring our time here in Alaska. The weather has been cool and a little wet, but comfortable and peaceful. In the same way that Mark Twain emerged as the "voice" of the Mississippi River, or Thoreau for Walden Pond, famed naturalist John Muir wrote beautifully about Alaska. He visited the region seven times in the last 20 years of the 1800s. His writings sparked a fervor for visitation and preservation of this wilderness. No one captured it better than Muir. OUR NEW BOOK IS ON SALE...
