Enjoy exclusive "Today in History" features

We have wrapped up our time on the Tennessee and Cumberland Rivers. We are now taking a bit of a break for the rest of the month. It's always good to "recharge our batteries" after a 5-week stretch of work on the riverboats. We met and reconnected with so many wonderful cruise guests. A highlight of these past few cruises happened just this past Thursday. We performed our "Crazy for Patsy Cline" show while arriving into Nashville! It was the perfect thing in the perfect place. Such a thrill! We really do have the greatest job in the world.

A PEEK BEHIND THE "MEMBERS-ONLY" CURTAIN...

As you may know, we have an exclusive Member-supported History Highlights Patreon site. We are so grateful for our treasured supporters and would love for you to join in the fun. So we thought we would share a few of the offerings our members enjoyed this week. We have unlocked two of our "today in history" features for you to check out and maybe entice you to become a History Highlights patron to directly support and nurture our endeavors. ENJOY!

On July 17, 1897 – The steamer Portland arrived in Seattle and the newspaper headlines said that “a ton of gold" was onboard. So we shared with our members a video feature about the Klondike Gold Rush.
On July 19–20, 1848 – The Seneca Falls Convention was the first women's rights convention in the United States. Here is a brief video feature about the impact of that convention.

He visited the region seven times in the last 20 years of the 1800s. His writings sparked a fervor for visitation and preservation of this wilderness. No one captured it better than Muir. OUR NEW BOOK IS ON SALE...
